The Maritime and Port Bureau (MPB) of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) stated today (27th) that visitors entering the artifact display rooms or multi-media halls of Sandiaojiao Lighthouse, Baishajia Lighthouse, Kaohsiung Lighthouse, Eluanbi Lighthouse, Yuwengdao Lighthouse, Dongju Lighthouse, Dongyindao Lighthouse and Keelung Lighthouse Museum are required to wear a mask.
The Central Epidemic Command Center has announced that beginning on December 1, 2020, all members of the public will be mandatorily required to wear masks if they plan to enter any of the eight following venues: healthcare facilities, public transportation, places of consumption, learning places, sports and exhibition venues, entertainment venues, religious and worship places, offices and business venues. As the artifact display rooms and multi-media halls of lighthouses are categorized as sports and exhibition venues, visitors should wear masks in accordance with regulations.
Those who do not wear a mask as required and refuse to comply upon request will be fined not less than NT$3,000 and no more than NT$15,000 according to Subparagraph 6, Paragraph 1, Article 37 of the Communicable Disease Control Act by the local government.
